Myriam Werner

Zürich

Between concrete and diffuse, representable and perceived, sublime and lowly, enthralled with reductions of the form in order to get the strongest gestures.

Myriam Werner’s work is of procedural nature, sensual and formal. She plays with what is found and what is made, with objects from various locations. She documents and analyses the world, resulting in a unique perspective, mesmerised with the antiquity, with nature, with traces all around us. Changes that occur in the process of reflexive engagement gives her the way to ephemeral works in the form of drawings, video, and installations. She holds Master of Arts from FHNW Fine Arts and a BA Kunst und Vermittlung from ZHdK. She has exhibited on sevral solo and group shows and currently lives and works in Nuglar.
