Julia’s practice operates in the intimate dimension of details, where everything is scrupulously pondered. Every single line, string or beam reflects her innate conscientiousness for particulars. The perseverance of her discipline brings her into a contemplative-making state where reality, mimesis and present absorb her completely. Sluggish processes lead to unseen results.

After having studied Applied Theatre Science in Giessen she shifted to Fine Arts and graduated in (artistic )photography at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Kalrsruhe. She exhibited in numerous group shows all over Germany and Italy, and she had her first solo show in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 2013. Since  2011 she lives and works in Zurich.
